Bring water to a boil in a medium pot. Remove from the heat, and add the jasmine green tea. Cover and let infuse for 5 minutes. Filter; discard the tea mixture, and reserve the infused liquid.
Return the tea infusion to the cauldron and add the salt. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Add rice, cover, and reduce heat to low. Cook until liquid is absorbed and rice is tender, about 15 minutes. Fluff the rice with a fork. Serve immediately.
